Blog assignment #1: Create a mind map online that illustrates and describes your own personal relationship with all the different forms of media we have discussed.
-What is your current ”media diet”?
-What types of media do you consume?
-How do you get your news? Count all the possible sources.
-What forms of entertainment do you use? How often are you entertaining yourself using media?
-In what other ways do you use the media?
-Do you participate in creating media in any way?
Here is my “Media Diet” (click on the map for larger picture):

When creating this mind map I realized how much information and media I get from my phone and my computer. These are my largest sources retrieving all news from not only Sweden but the whole world. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (soon to come for me) are so much more than friends and photos. These are real media sources that spread world happenings in just minutes around the globe. I get more interested by the second and often find myself trying to find out more about the topic in question on for example Google or in newspapers online after reading as much as possible on these social media sites.
I use media very much every day. All apps on my iPhone have updates all the time, which makes me check them many times each hour. I sit by my computer and on the internet doing homework and just searching the web every day. In the evenings and definitely in the weekends I and my family watch quite the amount of TV-series and movies. I do not think I use my phone and computer to much all the time but I have days where I realize that I am almost like obsessed with getting updates from all apps and the internet. During these days I try to put away these things and often try to take a break, go out for a run or cleaning up my room to just relax for a while. This usually helps me and I tend to feel a lot better afterwards.
